Air Cooler
Our company has been engaged in large-scale cooling tower construction and equipment installation for nearly 30 years and has undertaken the installation of more than 2,000 large-scale industrial cooling towers.
Air Cooler
In the cooling tower system, the role of the air cooler is mainly as an auxiliary cooling device, which is used to improve the overall cooling efficiency or meet special cooling requirements under specific working conditions. Generally, cooling towers rely on the contact evaporation of water and air to achieve cooling, but under certain specific conditions, the introduction of air coolers can optimize the cooling process, reduce water consumption, or meet the cooling requirements of specific fluids (such as oil, gas, etc.).
Advantages
- Auxiliary cooling: The air cooler can pre-cool the circulating water or other fluids at the inlet of the cooling tower, reduce the temperature of the fluid before entering the cooling tower, and reduce the cooling load of the cooling tower. In this way, the cooling tower can operate at a lower temperature, thereby improving the overall cooling efficiency of the system.
- Save water resources: The air cooler cools the fluid through air flow, does not consume water resources, and is very suitable for use in areas with tight water resources. Compared with traditional cooling towers that rely on water evaporation cooling, the introduction of air coolers can significantly reduce water consumption, reduce cooling costs, and reduce the need for water treatment equipment.
- Special cooling: For specific fluids in the cooling tower system (such as lubricating oil, transformer oil or industrial gas), the air cooler can directly cool them with air. This cooling method avoids the pollution and corrosion caused by water cooling, is more suitable for the cooling needs of oils or gases, and ensures the stability of process fluids and equipment safety.
- Enhance system flexibility: Under certain special working conditions, such as sudden increases in production demand or seasonal temperature differences, air coolers can flexibly increase the cooling capacity of the system to adapt to different cooling needs. This flexibility enables the cooling tower system to cope with changes in various processes and environments to ensure cooling effects.
- Reduce environmental impact: The air cooling method of the air cooler does not produce water vapor emissions, which can reduce the impact of water vapor drifting in the cooling tower on the environment, especially in cold weather to avoid the “white smoke” phenomenon, improve air quality, and reduce the risk of corrosion of surrounding equipment and structures.
- Extend equipment life: In cold seasons, the air cooler can bear more cooling load, thereby reducing the operating frequency of the cooling tower and avoiding excessive operation of the equipment. This helps to extend the service life of the cooling tower and related equipment, reduce maintenance costs, and ensure the stability of the cooling system.
application
Petrochemical industry: For the high-temperature oil-gas mixture generated during oil refining or natural gas processing, air coolers can cool the gas and oil separately, and then use cooling towers for water cooling, which significantly improves the cooling efficiency.
Power generation industry: In power plants, air coolers can assist in cooling transformer oil and generator lubricating oil, ensure the stability of equipment operation, and reduce the load of cooling towers.
Metallurgy and machinery manufacturing: Air coolers can cool high-temperature air in compressed air systems, ensure the normal operation of equipment, and reduce water consumption in cooling towers.
